Getting in the Groove

Whew. I feel like we are finally getting into a groove and figuring out our routines in the classroom. Can you guys believe it's almost October? Where did the month of September go? This school year is moving so quickly and it's hard to keep up. Since it's been awhile since our last post we just wanted to share with you in pictures a little bit of our classrooms and things we have been working on in class.

Academic Vocabulary Walls

Loving the word wall cards! The students know they can just go get a vocabulary card to help with their writing.
A circle map to help enforce behavior in the cafeteria
Our math curriculum involves creating a schedule with the students

I took the legs off of some of my desks to create a "different" work space. The kiddos love sitting on the floor with their pillows and some of my active students aren't falling out of their chairs!

Hope you enjoyed the plethora of pictures for a sneak peak into the past month of our lives.

  1. I want to start by saying that your blog looks great! My name is Martin and I'm a teacher from Canada. I just started a new website called Resources4teaching where educators can buy and sell lessons and educational resources. We are new and are looking for people to join and put up their materials for sale on our website. We are having an iPad draw for the first 100 Vendors who join and upload at least 1 lesson /resource for sale on our website. There are absolutely no fees to join and you earn royalties of 70%. You can visit us at: http://www.resources4teaching.com
I also created the Resources4teaching forums where educators can discuss education. Feel free to join us and start sharing your best practices and strategies.
If you know any other teachers who might be interested in this Website, please forward this to them and if you have any questions, feel free to message me.

    Have a great day
